empty nest

My youngest started preschool today.   Both kids are gone and it feels so  weird.  My littlest "S" has only been away from me one time in his short 3 1/2 years of life.  He did fine and so did I all in all but it feels so strange to be home right now with no kids.  His program is 5 days a week but it is only from 8:10-10:45 so they are short days.  45 minutes to go and I can pick him up.

It went well. I picked him up and he had a blast. As for me - it went by really fast. By the time I did a few errands and walked the dog I had about 40 minutes of at home time. Oh well - more than I usually have right?

At last you have some extra time to pamper yourself and energize for the rest of the day before kids get back from school.

Oh my. the "alone" time. Time to reflect on "you" for a change. yup weird feeling. You are doing GREAT!
It's weird how they drive us completely crazy when they are with us and we are on the brink of insanity and then as soon as they are gone we miss them like crazy. how wierd is that?
