Ok, so i've been married for 9 years (happily for 5...kidding, little midlife humor...) anyway, so yesterday, on the big day, my hubby came home from work (late, thanks dear) but at least he had some lovely sunflowers to plop in a vase (wait before you say, aaahhh...sweet...let me keep telling the story)...and they were happy, fresh beautiful...bla bla bla and so I said, "what are we doing to celebrate?" of course we had no plans but on a whim, we decided at 10:30 to grab a beer.
Cool, fine, the sitter was up and the kids were sleeping so it was a decent plan. Where to go?
Well, we decide to hit up the local total-dive bar...turns out it's karaoke night and man-alive, they came out of the woodwork singing songs from billy joel, gwen stefani and a real treat-a song entitled, because I got high...don't even ask...anyway, so we're sitting there and I turn to my hubby and say:
wow, this is freakishly appropriate because I had forgotten this, but on our wedding day (at our reception after-party) we had karaoke!
then I remembered this detail:
on my wedding night, my hubby got up, sang karaoke, and was singing some good-old-hick song and it said something like life's a bore...
and then he sang to the crowd, my wife's a....
and my entire reception party, friends and extras who didn't make it to the wedding yelled, in unison...
a *hore.
So last night, I chuckled and thanked my hubby for the anniversary memory of him (kidding of course!) calling me *hore in front of everyone.
His response...hey it wasn't me, it was everyone we know.
So thanks for the memories and I can't wait to see where we are on our 18th anniversary...maybe a truckstop or something?
Just to clarify, I wasn't a *hore so it was funny- otherwise I wouldn't be laughing!
