Only One?

Yes only one child for us.  We did get a puppy.  The puppy is now 9 months old and our daugher is almost 4.  I swear these two get going and it's like having two children.  They both wind eachother up and it gets so loud in here that I feel like I'm at the park with a whole bunch of kids.  I admit the puppy has been such a wonderful thing for my daugher.  The two just love eachother so much and have so much fun playing.  DD can't get made at me anymore for waking her up... I send the puppy to do my dirty work now!  LOL. :-)  Oh those cold noses and kisses.

Update on our House buying ...

Sorry it's been a while since I've left a post.  It's been nuts!

OUI !!!!!!!!! I think insanity comes with buying your first home.  A normal process is never the case with us.  We seem to attract the psycho people... NO JOKE.  Even our attorney (we had to get) used those terms.

We have a signed contract and it's the house we really really want and we have no back-up either.  So what is going wrong with this?  Just about everything.  It is a newer house, just a few years old, so structurally it's good.  Radon is a problem that we are getting the seller to remedy.  Other minor problems too.  Those things aren't too bad but do offer us a way out of the contract if we chose too.  The seller has an attorney too BUT not because of us..... because of the "psycho Tenant" currently living in their house.  Bitter divorce ..... do I need to go on?  Tenant is trying to get her digs in (to her X family) by trying to scare us off so she can tank this sale and continue to live in the house almost rent free.  Oh no it doesn't stop there either.....It is so complicated with so many twists and turns.  Errrrr!  Why can't we do something normal for a change.

Always a challenge and I guess it makes us more appreciative in the end.

So we did our home inspection and DH and I brought our DD with us along with our Contractor and Agent.  "Psycho Tenant" wasn't suppose to be there, well she showed up and it got ugly.  She began to rant at our Agent, smash dishes in the kitchen and barricaded herself in the bedroom (all while slamming things).  Scared our DD to death.  I immediately took dd to the truck and comforted her while DH and our Contractor collected their things and let our Agent handle it.  Yup it was ugly.  Any other buyer would have went running for the hills, but we are not that way. (trying to scare us away so she can keep her "cash cow").

So we had to seek out an attorney.  He is really nice and knows the sellers attorney.  So they should be able to hash stuff out (we hope).

We are now just sitting and waiting to hear from them and whether or not this sale is going to happen.  I have Faith everything will work out, but it's not looking so good.

It'll break my heart if we have to tell our daughter that we won't get that house.  She already picked out her bedroom and started decorating it in her mind.  I love to see her excitement, but now I'm nervous.

The stress is overwhelming.  We are lucky to have such an awesome and understanding landlord.  He said if it does tank then we will have a roof over our heads no matter what.  We are fortunate.

Hoping for the best.

  Life is crazy but wonderful.

It will work out ok. When we bought our house, we bought it from a couple and the woman wanted to sell and move back to California, and the man did not want to sell. He made everything hard. He gave us a hard time when we had our inspection, he gave us a hard time when we were trying to get quotes on work that was needed. He even kicked his own real estate agent off the property and refused to talk to him. I was also pregnant at the time and our closing was set for the week our son was born, it was scheduled for Monday, but had to be switched to Wednesday because of a paper that was missing, and he refused to switch. It almost fell apart right at the end, and our apartment was already rented. My MIL was already cleaning her spare room for us. Anyway it finally happened on Wednesday, but only because his girlfriend moved to California on the Monday before and made him sign the paperwork on Monday with their attorney who represented them at our closing two days later. We moved on Thursday and our son was born on Friday. It was a crazy week. It will work out. She is just giving them a hard time, but really she doesn't have a say in the matter. Good luck to you.
